Info
OPL is a twelve square meter coffee drive-thru. Original, Premium, Local. We were brought in to build the brand a real identity, not just a logo, one built to become a franchise. That changes what the identity has to do.
It's not just about looking good on one kiosk. It has to work on a version of that kiosk that doesn't exist yet, in a location nobody has picked.

BRAND STRATEGY
BRAND STRATEGY
So instead of designing one fixed look, we built a system that could flex. One shape at the core, a circle and a square merged into one, gives every version of the brand a shared foundation.
Around that core sits a layer that's allowed to move: badges, colorways, seasonal marks, whatever a future location or campaign needs, all built to still read as OPL. The brand had to be strict enough to stay recognizable and loose enough to grow into places we haven't designed for yet.

ITERATION
ITERATION
The final identity didn't arrive first. We went through several rounds before settling on the shape and palette that made it into the system.
Early concepts leaned into a softer palette, pinks and blues, and experimented with a hand-gesture mark.
It looked friendly, but friendly wasn't the brief. A franchise-ready coffee brand needed to read premium before it read approachable, so we moved away from anything that felt too playful or too soft.

CUP DESIGN
CUP DESIGN
The cup is where the brand meets the customer directly, so it had to carry the whole identity without needing every element at once. Rather than one fixed design, we built a family that's instantly recognizable as OPL without repeating itself or drifting off brand.

KIOSK DESIGN
The red corrugated facade carries the badge on both corners, so the mark reads from either direction on the street. Below it, wayfinding does double duty as branding: "Order," "Pick Up," and "Staff Only" each carry the mascot mark instead of a plain label, so even the functional signage feels like OPL rather than generic building signage.

(No AI)
Every scene in this case study, the kiosk, the cups, the mugs, the keychain, the espresso machine, was modeled, textured, and lit by hand in Blender. No generative AI was used anywhere in this project. Staying original wasn't just the brand's name, it was how the work got made.
